Billy and his birds

Billy has kept racing pigeons in Enfield, North London, for all of his adult life. Every day still starts and ends in the loft. The clock he holds in one of these pictures is how races used to be timed, when a bird’s arrival was stamped by hand. These days it’s all done electronically, but the clock, the loft and the birds are all still here.
